Town Hall Wijchen – renovation project
On 9 september 2017 was finally come. Town Hall Wijchen on this day was officially opened by Queen’s Commissioner Clemens Cornielje and a proud Mayor Hans Verheijen.
Opening
Nadat de openingshandelingen waren verricht, werden de genodigden en inwoners van Wijchen van harte uitgenodigd binnen een kijkje te nemen. Een warm welkom met een kopje koffie en wat lekkers. En natuurlijk om het nieuwe Huis van de Gemeente Wijchen te bezichtigen onder de bevlogen leiding van enthousiaste medewerkers, de burgemeester en de architecten.

Remodeling Town Hall Wijchen
The former Rabobank Office at Kasteellaan has undergone a thorough renovation. This was necessary to to all employees of the municipality of Wijchen to offer a new home. And this new Town Hall is also the new home of all inhabitants of the municipality of Wijchen. The beautifully crafted furnishings give a warm welcome to all visitors. The new Town Hall Wijchen is all the latest conveniences. Beautiful open spaces and practical seating areas for interim consultation. The municipal employees are fully facilitated in the new Flex work principles. The investment will the municipality a lot of job satisfaction.
THE CENTRAL STAIRCASE AS A BEATING HEART
In the middle of the property is a beautifully crafted staircase to the two upper floors. Because of the enormous Dome light falls during the day, plenty of natural light. In the Dome light are solar collectors made as one of the elements of the sustainable building concept. As soon as there is artificial light is needed, also burns the LED lighting of the ILLUNOX® stainless steel railings and fences. This makes the stairs also beautifully illuminated at dusk and dark. The design of the staircase underlines the two main principles of light and space of the building design. We are therefore particularly proud with our ILLUNOX® handrails have a stylish and practical contribution to the relief of the staircase. And for our own community!
ILLUNOX® AT TOWN HALL WIJCHEN
About two years ago, Mayor Hans Verheijen visited ILLUNOX®. This visit was the occasion of the award of the RED DOT Design Award. The plans for the new Town Hall Wijchen started when all slow to take shape. And two years later we can look back on a fantastic result in multidisciplinary cooperation with various parties. Architectural firm De Twee Snoeken, was responsible for the building design and the total engineering. In close cooperation with De Twee Snoeken, construction company Van Grootheest, Weld and Assembly company Van Pommeren and ITN installation technique, ILLUNOX® has realised the handrail luminaire.
TECHNICAL DETAILS ILLUNOX® LED HANDRAIL
The ILLUNOX® stainless steel stair railings are running in the system ILLUNOX® 42. Within this system is chosen for a handrail diameter of 42,4 mm in a performance of binnenkwaliteit AISI 304. The handrails are finished in a brushed satin finish, k320. The fixture meets the classifications ip40 for dust and moisture permeability and resistance IK10 for maximum vandalism. The handrails are provided with the line Power LED (OSRAM Duris E 5) 3000 K (warm white). The LED lines are covered with Opal plastic covers to ensure an anti-glare effect.
